Our Story:
BOATS LKN is a nonprofit organization created to serve as the central hub for strategic planning, fundraising, and collaboration among boating and water safety stakeholders across Lake Norman. Through a unified effort, BOATS LKN supports initiatives like the Josh Murray Safety and Awareness center and works to enhance education, safety, and community engagement on and around the lake. Our goal is to align clubs, businesses, agencies, and individuals who are passionate about creating a safer, stronger boating community for all.
Mission: To enhance the quality of life for all who live, work, and play on Lake Norman by reducing preventable accidents and fatalities.
Vision: To be the premier location on Lake Norman, which provides boating safety education and programs for the general public and a training facility and resources for emergency responders and all lake-related companies and organizations.
